Going to Australia~Today!

TODAY! I am leaving today. 6 weeks down under. Wow. It's today.

I hope to see all the sights yet go further as well: Maybe glimpsing what not every tourist sees, and experiencing what not every travels discovers.

Part way through the romp I'll spend a few days with my brother and sister in law. Days I expect to indulge in much more native and much less run across.

But mostly I hope to be indulging in time with Australian encaustic enthusiasts. I can not quite believe that I get to make this trip to indulge in a whole new culture of creative hearts anticipating time in the wax! 

I cross the pond and loose an entire day to jump full-bore into inspiring; bring it on Australia! I want to give it all~

And hopefully, take some back to the states to share in exchange-goodness knows I've brought enough room for shopping :) in love. trish

                                           

Australia!

I'm going to Australia. Wait! I have to say that again!!! I'M GOING TO AUSTRALIA!!!!

Nearly eight years ago I was graced the amazing opportunity to make a quick visit to Sydney for my brothers wedding. This brief in and out made me want for much, much more of this amazing country and I've spent the time since coming back to the memories and prayerfully anticipating a return opportunity. But, it wasn't coming! I help two AU ten dollar bills in my wallet, peeking at them every once in a while to renew my faith in the dream~
And then my boys were able to make the trip. Wow.

What an amazing experience for them to grab hold of! So, I put my envy away :), helped them plan the details, and gave them my Aussie bills...gulp. I remember coming down the stairs with them in my hand and saying to John, 'Maybe I've just been holding onto these so long for this day that I can give them to my guys; not for my own use after all....'
And a mere week later, I get the call of calls!
The buzz to beat all buzzes!
The news to carry me into the next century!
Okay, it's obvious I know; an inviation to teach in Melbourne next April! Woot!

I am also seeking other venues and groups to teach with or through.

I would love to get into Brisbane and Sydney and welcome suggestions!
Looking forward to spreading the encaustic fever that's already got a hook across the pond :) much, much further!
And, hoping to share the goodness of all things American encaustic; R&F, Ampersand, j'adore Panpastel! even woodicing and stencils....and of course, EncaustiKits :)
